YASUHIRO MORINAGA sound designer / music director / composer i suoni della tradizione e il paesaggio sonoro in ยญAspromonte

Il 16 febbraio parte il progetto โ€œAspromonte Soundscapeโ€ che affiancherร  il lavoro dellโ€™artista giapponese Yasuhiro Morinaga nei luoghi del ‘suono’ e nei paesaggi piรน caratteristici del nostro territorio, con lโ€™ospitalitร  e la partecipazione di diversi operatori e associazioni culturali calabresi. Yasuhiro Morinaga รจ un sound designer e compositore che lavora su tematiche che spaziano dal cinema, al teatro, alla danza contemporanea, fino alle installazioni. I suoi lavori sono stati presentati in alcuni tra i piรน importanti festivals in giro per il mondo (Cannes, Biennale di Venezia, Festival di Berlino e di Toronto) e sue installazioni e performances sono state ospitate presso il Centro Pompidou in Francia, il San Francisco Contemporary Museum, il Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, lo Smithsonian Institute, il Museo di Storia Nazionale del Lussemburgo. Negli ultimi anni รจ stato impegnato nel campo della registrazione sonora nel sudest asiatico e in sud Italia. Lโ€™interesse di Morinaga per le realtร  rurali ed urbane del nostro paese comincia con la partecipazione ad Interferenze New Arts Festival, prosegue con il lavoro svolto in Irpinia sulle tradizioni locali confluito nel progetto Irpinia Field Works e nei successivi Suoni dal Confine, Calitri temporary Orchestra. In questo contesto, Aspromonte Soundscape si pone come un ulteriore progetto di promozione culturale e territoriale in cui arte, suono, foto e video diventano gli elementi per ri-disegnare e comunicare il territorio calabrese e il suo patrimonio culturale e naturalistico. Una tre giorni con azioni condivise di ricerca sui suoni tradizionali e il paesaggio sonoro in Aspromonte attraverso il lavoro sul campo di un artista internazionale in sinergia con artisti e ricercatori locali. Il viaggio, con le sue prime tappe nella valle del Santโ€™Agata, valle dellโ€™Amendolea, Costa Viola e Cittร  di Reggio Calabria, sarร  documentato tramite la realizzazione di Video art e Story telling fotografici a testimoniare una esperienza intensa dove ospitalitร , globalitร  e localitร  si incontrano intorno alla ricerca dei โ€˜Suoni in Aspromonteโ€™.
